metars

To receive wx info from nearby airports, is an adb-s  receiver required? If not, I must not have something set correctly.

Re: metars

You need an internet connection or ADS-B.  You use the internet connection on the ground and ADS-B in the air.

Re: metars

Thanks. Confirms my suspicion. I get wx info via internet  on the ground. Need an Adb-s receiver.

Re: metars

I recently purchased a Dual XGPS170 ADS-B receiver.  It works well with Naviator for metars and nexrad weather radar.
