Naviator 1.3.3

Naviator version 1.3.3a is now available in Google Play. Edit: A newer version is now available here.

Changes in this version include:

  • Added distance and bearing to the "quick info" screens

  • Added a VNAV calculator to assist with climb/descent calculations

  • Added a "vertical speed required" data field to the map

  • Added distance and bearing labels to the map screen for the waypoints in the active route

  • Various bug fixes

Cheers,
Mike

Re: Naviator 1.3.3

Sweet. Is ADS-B weather waiting on the release of a specific receiver?

Re: Naviator 1.3.3

In a sense. Work has been done in this area, but before I commit too much to one receiver or another I'm waiting to find out a little more information about some of the newer yet-to-be-released receivers (ex. the Dual XGPS170). So far it is looking hopeful that I will be able to add support for multiple receivers from different vendors.

Cheers,
Mike

Re: Naviator 1.3.3

Run Naviator, tap Preferences, then tap the version number at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to Naviator's page in the Play Store where you can update it to the latest version. If you don't see the new version right away just give it a little more time. Sometimes there can be a short delay on Google's end.

Cheers,
Mike

Re: Naviator 1.3.3

Nice update!
Especially glad to see bearing and distance on the quick info screens ... was wishing for this again on my last x-country.

Hoping to see some ADS-B and AHRS functionality!

Is the Sagetech  Clarity a possible candidate?

Re: Naviator 1.3.3

Unfortunately not likely, unless they come out with an update that is compatible with Android devices. I've let them know there is a demand for their product among Android users, and I'm waiting to see if they capitalize on that fact.

Mike

Re: Naviator 1.3.3

I just installed 1.3.3. I no longer see enlarged airport identifiers on the sectional chart from which to obtain info. Any suggestions?
