Quick Plan Route via Airways?

New IFR pilot and today got a clearance that that I almost didn't get correct in Naviator.

Clearance I was given was KTOA LAX R-270 LIMBO V64 V363 DANAH V23 MZB KMYF

I entered "KTOA LIMBO V64 V363 DANAH V23 MZB KMYF" into the Quick Plan and it seemed to ignore the airways and just went point to point.  V64 & V363 intersect at WOKRO.

If I use the rubber band tool it then asks if I want to route via airway, am I missing something to enable that feature when using the quick plan to enter an IFR clearance?

Thanks.

Re: Quick Plan Route via Airways?

You need to enter the start and end waypoints of the airway, so your route should be entered as follows:

KTOA LIMBO V64 WOKRO V363 DANAH V23 MZB KMYF

Cheers,
Mike

Re: Quick Plan Route via Airways?

Ok, they didn't include WOKRO in the clearance, so I didn't know WOKRO was part of the route until I started reviewing the route in detail on the map display.

Thanks.
