Has anyone had experience interfacing the "echoUAT from uAvionix" transceiver to Naviator? I visited them at SnF and again at Airventure. Looks pretty straightforward for us experimental folks.

#4 Re: Naviator Releases » Naviator 3.8.5 » 2017-Apr-08 7:07 pm

I just returned from SnF, Lakeland. Aerial map only showing a white display. Running ver 3.8.5 on Samsung tab 2 7.
Tried various zoom levels. Any thoughts?

Thanks Mike,
I read that version 7.1 release is scheduled before years end and I may wait until then to upgrade. Glad to hear all is well with Naviator on this platform.

I'm thinking about downloading 7.0 to my Nexus 6P. Wondering if anyone has tried this update and found any issues running Naviator?

I just completed a nice xcountry flight from my base in upper middle/east TN to Martinsburg, WV. I'm a 105mph plane. Even though I have installed a panel mount state of the art Efis, I still use Naviator on a Samsung Tab2 7  for primary navigation. Everything worked great including Ads-B and chart stitching was very usefulflying,  into the 60 mile DC Adiz.
Good job Mike

Just flew recently since a couple upgrades. The grey box with airport identifier is covering up the wx box at airports transmitting ADS-B info. I do not receive green circles, but in the past got in flight wx the same as WiFi on the ground from the wx boxes.
Any suggestions?? Don

#14 Re: Bug Reports » Naviator Stops » 2015-Jun-14 2:23 pm

I've had several flights recently, it appears the "Naviator Stopped" gremlin has gone. Nexrad working as usual. Motorola did a software update a couple of weeks ago. Maybe that fixed the issue.

I don't recall having the email option.
I'll look for it next time

This weekend  I played with Naviator on the ground. Two times it stopped and I sent in a report. Both times NexRad was on. After turning off NexRad and duplicating the same selections, there was not a problem. Droid Maxx

Sun n Fun follow up.
Chart stitching worked great. Had a couple of times Naviator stopped working. I turned off NexRad and problem went away. I suspect my Droid Maxx might have been overwhelmed.
Thanks Mike for your timely release of 3.3.2

#18 Re: General Discussion » Stitching "pirep" » 2015-Apr-19 8:57 pm

Mike,
I download ver 3.3.1 today to my Droid Maxx and Galaxy tab2 7. Everything appears to be working fine. Heading to Sun nFun Tues a.m. About 6 hrs with one fuel stop. Will give it a try. Looks good so far.

Thanks for you're hard work.....
Don
Ps-the new charts loaded
in under 5 mins on my verizon 4g network

Thanks for the info. Maygo to Nushield dayview screen protector first. Improved sunlight readability on the tab7 considerably.

#21 Re: General Discussion » smart phones » 2014-Dec-09 5:14 pm

Ordered  a Droid maxx today. Plan to use it with naviator as a secondary tool. I am installing the new MGL Discovery Lite Efis as primary navigation. Will downsize naviator from the galaxy tab7. Will run the dual xgps and route planning with naviator on the Maxx. This combo should work well for space management in my experimental cockpit.

#22 Re: General Discussion » smart phones » 2014-Dec-08 5:10 pm

Sounds like a good choice. The Maxx has great reviews. I too have been with Verizon for years because of coverage in these TN hills.
Thanks...Don

I am looking to upgrade phones soon. Looking at new android os, kit kat, lollipop, etc, is there any down side running naviator that anyone has experienced? For the hardware, screen readability in sunlight is a factor. Looking to the prepaid no contract market.
Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks......Don

#24 Re: General Discussion » Battery power declining even when charging » 2014-Nov-13 7:38 am

I use a Samsung tab2 7. Using aDual xgps 170 as gps source. By disabling the internal gps & location service from google and verizon, I've seen significant improvement in my battery time being charged from a 12 volt cockpit source.

#25 Re: General Discussion » ads b » 2014-Oct-19 5:21 pm

Thanks. I did that and it worked fine. Some beautiful flying today in the Tennesse Valley.
