#1 Re: General Discussion » Can "No GPS" Icon be removed from display? » 2018-Nov-19 10:12 am

Hi Bill,

You can enable the "EFB mode" from the settings screen. This will remove the no gps warning but note that this will also disable any GPS navigation features within the app.

#2 Re: General Discussion » ADSB traffic hockey puck » 2018-Apr-22 9:37 am

Check this setting: Settings --> External Devices --> ADS-B Settings --> Filter Traffic.

It is enabled by default and will filter out traffic that isn't a collision threat. Uncheck the 'Filter Traffic' setting to see all ADS-B traffic targets as they are received.

Cheers,
Mike

#3 Re: Bug Reports » No METARs today (2/24/2018) » 2018-Mar-22 9:21 am

Yes, an update was released to correct this issue.

Do the METARs display when you go to Settings --> Weather and TFRs and then tap 'Update Weather Now'? Also, double-check that the 'METAR Update Frequency' setting is not set to 'Never'.

Cheers,
Mike

#4 Re: Bug Reports » No METARs today (2/24/2018) » 2018-Feb-24 12:32 pm

Thanks for reporting this. It looks like the NWS has made a minor change to their web server (they are now redirecting all HTTP traffic to HTTPS) which unfortunately broke Naviator. I'll have to release an app update in order to resolve the problem. I'll be working on that this afternoon.

#5 Re: General Discussion » Foreflight Scout » 2018-Feb-15 5:25 pm

No, unfortunately not. Generally speaking, anything branded ForeFlight/Stratus/Garmin use proprietary protocols and only work with their own apps.

Cheers,
Mike

#6 Re: Bug Reports » STRATUX ADSB Error » 2018-Jan-24 8:46 am

Hi Jonathan,

Have you selected Stratux in the "Wi-Fi Port" setting on the ADS-B Settings screen?

#7 Re: Bug Reports » Winds Aloft » 2018-Jan-11 10:25 am

Sorry everyone, it looks like a process got hung up on one of our servers. It's running now and you should see an updated winds aloft forecast in the app within the next few hours.

Cheers,
Mike

#9 Re: General Discussion » Garmin GTX345 compatibility » 2018-Jan-03 5:15 pm

Hi Valerie,

Naviator unfortunately does not interface directly with the GTX345, however you can still continue to use a portable ADS-B receiver with Naviator. The portable receiver will "piggyback" on the ADS-B OUT from the GTX345, which means you'd be able to reliably receive the entire ADS-B traffic picture on Naviator's display.

Cheers,
Mike

#10 Re: Suggestions » Number of units » 2017-Dec-31 4:20 pm

Ken,

Please send me an email at support@naviatorapp.com and I'll help you out with this.

#11 Re: Charts & Data » New Zealand airspace » 2017-Dec-31 4:19 pm

Naviator supports importing custom airspace areas in the "OpenAir" format. Airspace files for NZ can be found at http://gliding.co.nz/pilots/pilot-resou … ace-files/

To import an airspace file, open the Naviator main menu and then tap Plan --> Custom Data --> Custom Airspace --> Import Data.

Cheers (and Happy New Year!),
Mike

#12 Re: Bug Reports » St. Louis TAC Missing » 2017-Dec-20 11:50 am

Thanks for reporting this. The chart should be available now. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

#13 Re: General Discussion » Stratux not working after loading approach plates » 2017-Nov-29 8:11 pm

Hi Alex,

Have you selected the Stratux as the device in the "Wi-Fi Port" setting? If not, go to Settings --> External Devices --> ADS-B Settings --> Wi-Fi Port and make sure you select 'Stratux' from the list.

Let me know if that doesn't solve the problem.

Cheers,
Mike

#14 Re: General Discussion » lynx 9000 traffic function not working » 2017-Nov-24 4:47 pm

Have you selected "L3 Technologies" from the "Wi-Fi port" setting in the ADS-B Settings screen?

#15 Re: Bug Reports » lynx 9000 traffic function » 2017-Nov-24 10:43 am

Hi,

Just to make sure I'm clear on the issue, is only the traffic not working or are all ADS-B functions not working (weather, for example)? Do you see "ADS-B: OK" or "ADS-B: WARN" on the map screen when the Lynx is connected to Naviator?

#16 Re: Bug Reports » No SIGMETS » 2017-Oct-22 7:08 am

Hi Mike,

It seems like this must have been a temporary problem, as the sigmets were appearing in the app as of yesterday evening. Please let me know if you encounter this problem again (preferably via email support - support tickets will get noticed earlier) and I will take a look to see what's going wrong.

Cheers,
Mike

#17 Re: Suggestions » Where is the AF/D?? » 2017-Oct-20 7:39 am

The af/d is available in two places: the airport 'Quick Info' dialog (accessed by tapping an airport on the map), and the airport detailed information screen.

Cheers,
Mike

#18 Re: Charts & Data » Check box vs touching approach plates » 2017-Oct-20 7:36 am

When you tap the checkbox beside an approach plate, it will add a button labeled 'TPP' to the map screen. Tapping the TPP button will open the selected approach plate. This allows you to quickly switch between the map screen and the approach plate.

Cheers,
Mike

#21 Re: General Discussion » Quick Plan Route via Airways? » 2017-Sep-11 1:49 pm

You need to enter the start and end waypoints of the airway, so your route should be entered as follows:

KTOA LIMBO V64 WOKRO V363 DANAH V23 MZB KMYF

Cheers,
Mike

#22 Re: Bug Reports » No info for Winds Aloft » 2017-Aug-08 8:29 am

There was a temporary server issue that prevented the winds aloft data from being properly updated, but this has now been resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

#23 Re: Bug Reports » TFRs not Showing » 2017-May-29 9:18 am

Thanks. I do see 7/2934 showing up now but 7/2946 has expired so I can't verify that one. The Jeppesen data feed used by the app must have been delayed over the weekend for whatever reason. I'm not entirely happy with the Jeppesen feed so I will be looking into alternative sources for the TFR data.

Cheers,
Mike

#24 Re: Bug Reports » TFRs not Showing » 2017-May-27 7:13 pm

Thanks for the report. Which specific TFRs are not showing up (or, what is the nearest airport)? Please email support if you don't want to disclose your location publicly.

Cheers,
Mike
