Hi Valerie,

Naviator unfortunately does not interface directly with the GTX345, however you can still continue to use a portable ADS-B receiver with Naviator. The portable receiver will "piggyback" on the ADS-B OUT from the GTX345, which means you'd be able to reliably receive the entire ADS-B traffic picture on Naviator's display.

Naviator supports importing custom airspace areas in the "OpenAir" format. Airspace files for NZ can be found at http://gliding.co.nz/pilots/pilot-resou … ace-files/

To import an airspace file, open the Naviator main menu and then tap Plan --> Custom Data --> Custom Airspace --> Import Data.

Hi Alex,

Have you selected the Stratux as the device in the "Wi-Fi Port" setting? If not, go to Settings --> External Devices --> ADS-B Settings --> Wi-Fi Port and make sure you select 'Stratux' from the list.

Let me know if that doesn't solve the problem.

Have you selected "L3 Technologies" from the "Wi-Fi port" setting in the ADS-B Settings screen?

Hi,

Just to make sure I'm clear on the issue, is only the traffic not working or are all ADS-B functions not working (weather, for example)? Do you see "ADS-B: OK" or "ADS-B: WARN" on the map screen when the Lynx is connected to Naviator?

It seems like this must have been a temporary problem, as the sigmets were appearing in the app as of yesterday evening. Please let me know if you encounter this problem again (preferably via email support - support tickets will get noticed earlier) and I will take a look to see what's going wrong.

The af/d is available in two places: the airport 'Quick Info' dialog (accessed by tapping an airport on the map), and the airport detailed information screen.

When you tap the checkbox beside an approach plate, it will add a button labeled 'TPP' to the map screen. Tapping the TPP button will open the selected approach plate. This allows you to quickly switch between the map screen and the approach plate.

Naviator version 3.9.0 has been released to the Play Store. The APK is located here.

Version 3.9.0:

  • The A/FD is now available within the app

You need to enter the start and end waypoints of the airway, so your route should be entered as follows:

There was a temporary server issue that prevented the winds aloft data from being properly updated, but this has now been resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.

Thanks. I do see 7/2934 showing up now but 7/2946 has expired so I can't verify that one. The Jeppesen data feed used by the app must have been delayed over the weekend for whatever reason. I'm not entirely happy with the Jeppesen feed so I will be looking into alternative sources for the TFR data.

When the app crashes, do you see an option to "report" or something similar to that? If so, please submit a crash report and include your forum user name or email address so that I can trace the crash report back to this post.

Please also keep in mind that a chart will only show up in the "Select Chart" list if you are currently viewing the area of the world covered by that chart. For example, for the Klamath Falls chart to appear in the list you need to see the KLMT airport on the map before tapping "Select Chart".

If that isn't the problem, please see the latest reply to your support ticket for something else to try.

The only required download is the 'Naviator Database'. If the app is asking you to download more files, you can de-select them until after you've configured the storage location.

After you download the 'Naviator Database' you'll be able to access the app settings to move it, and all future downloads, to your desired location.

Split-screen is only supported for tablet devices (as you already know). Of course, this design decision was made years ago before any large screen "phablet" phones existed so I will revisit this and see if there might be some way to accommodate split screen mode for phablet devices in addition to regular tablets.

Split screen mode is only supported on tablets so if you are seeing a split screen button on your phone, that is a bug. Whereabouts did you find the button?
